Useful Garnet plain ovals, measuring 6x4mm to 8x6mm approximately on a 15" strand. Each strand has around 50 beads.

There are many different types of garnet with similar physical properties and crystal forms, but they differ in chemical composition. The different types referred to as species include almandine, spessartine and grossular (varieties of which are hessonite and tsavorite) amongst others.
